We always loved going out to their home to see and ride the horses. Helping them move the jumps around and then being treated to a handful of oats because we worked hard, like the horses, and got what they got for a treat! Always, Aunt Gladys had a wonderful pie baking as our real treat. I loved listening to her talk, I thought her voice was so beautiful to listen to. She will be missed.

I remember first seeing Vicki's mom at horse shows (where I first met Vicki) back in the 1950's. Gladys was a striking woman on the scene, beautiful and kind. I've stayed in touch with Vicki through the years and hence, have seen Gladys periodically, exclusively during those times when she lived in the Quad Cities. (We both spent a lot of time away from the Moline/Rock Island area.) I will miss her presence. She continued to be a kind and beautiful person for as long as she lived.
