We both want to express our condolances. We feel the loss of a great friend.
Butch had a positive impact on the lives of many people and we respected him for the way he treated others As time goes on, you will hear testimonies how Butch has touched peoples' lives. From showing me how to hit a driver off the deck to get out of the trees, to always giving encouragement to shake off a bad round. We looked up

I'm sorry for your loss Donna, and family members. I had the pleasure of meeting Butch through our Laborers Union. And as a resisdent of Colona several years ago, was asked to help on a few projects there too. He will be missed by many. I wish you comfort and peace through these times.

My condolences. I was very sad to hear of Butch's passing. It was an honor to know him and to call him friend. I will always cherish the many snowmobiling trips with Butch in the 80's and 90's.

Uncle Butch had a smile and hug for all, something I will miss, I dont think I can recall him without a smile, I can remember my dad making me take organ lessons from grandma and how i could never sing and play at the same time, then comes Butch and whips right through, I thought no way will I ever play like him, I love you Uncle Butch and you will be missed. And my thoughts and prayers are with you Aunt Donna, I love you too.

He was a great leader at all levels of life! Family, friends,Union,Community the list is endless. When he would visit me on my jobsite as his union steward, he would fix my shirt collar and made sure I always looked sharp! The man was a perfectionist. He loved his union .. more so he loved his members! He believed in everything he did and accomplished everything he set out to do.A true standard in what a union member should be and what a real man was all about. ~ Mr.Butch Downs will be missed but never forgotten for years to come...
