Warren George Victor Smith, 74, of Moline, died September 21, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 3:00 until service time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Warren was born on May 14, 1938 in Peter and Hannah Schneider Smith. He married Rita Larson on January 17, 1959 in Moline; she preceded him in death on May 12, 2010.

Warren was employed as a computer programmer with both CAT and Muscatine Power and Water. Warren was fond of traveling and enjoyed his train trips. He loved fishing with his friend Jerry and dinner with his friends from Muscatine Power. Warren enjoyed sports and was an Iowa Hawkeyes fan; but above all adored spending time with family and his grandchildren.
