Cleora Olivia Ward, 88, of Orion, IL died peacefully surrounded by her loving family,Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion. Burial will be at Swedona Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Swedona Lutheran Church.
Cleora was born on March 24, 1923 in Lynn Township, IL the daughter of Walter and Myra (Peterson) Bowman. She married Dale E. Ward on June 24, 1943 at Swedona Parsonage. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2001.
Cleora worked for over 30 years as a legal secretary. After retirement she continued with tax preparation until she was 81. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and was involved with WELCA. She also served as a Rural Township Board Member. Her many hobbies included reading, sewing, crossword puzzles, cribbage and cards.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and their spouses, Ruhl (Desyl) and Donald (Geneva) Bowman.
